Cake Face

On Sunday afternoon, a [fantastic] colleague and I checked out a Bridal Show at the Inn on the Lake. We've been talking about setting up a booth of our own, so we thought it would be a good idea to go see one first hand.

While there, I picked up a business card for a pretty interesting app. It's called Cake Face. Ya know how it's popular to place disposable cameras on each table? The idea being that the guests will take more candid shots than the photographer. The bride and groom can then develop those shots and have an entire album of these fun pictures. This app replaces that. With smart phones, your guests can download the app, and then take pictures. Whatever pictures your guest takes, gets uploaded to a website for the bride and groom to look at and print later.

A pretty cool idea. People are taking pictures with their phones anyway -- why not harness it?
